Whyte&#8217;s legacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I told you so,&#8221; they say, as public spaces contextually reconfigure based on&nbsp;distancing-defined &#8220;pandemic patterns.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, at dusk, or on the weekends, just a short walk away, things change. The indoor-outdoor scenes like the Twickenham example below <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/25\/well\/live\/coronavirus-spread-bars-transmission.html\">correlate<\/a> with newly reported cases of the coronavirus around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If nothing more, these two photographs are a study in contrasts, a &#8220;teaching moment&#8221; of the sort I&#8217;ve <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainingplace.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/21\/the-juxtapositions-of-emergent-urban-life\/\">identified before<\/a>.
