Firstly, there\u2019s an epic reunion pending for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Home_Improvement_(TV_series)\"><em>Home Improvement<\/em> <\/a>stars <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tim_Allen\">Tim Allen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Richard_Karn\">Richard Karn<\/a>, in a new History Channel series.  Secondly, the show, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/ries-assembly-required-history-1234747310\/\">Assembly Required<\/a><\/em>, shares themes with our <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainingplace.com\/index.php\/2020\/12\/02\/almost-here-for-the-holidays-a-book-to-sustain-places\/\">book<\/a>, and many of today&#8217;s hot themes in placemaking and urbanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Moreover, the show&#8217;s American premiere almost exactly coincides with the release of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/rowman.com\/ISBN\/9781538133248\/Sustaining-a-City's-Culture-and-Character-Principles-and-Best-Practices\">Sustaining a City\u2019s Culture and Characte<\/a><\/em>r.   Consequently, in a Zoom conference with Karn, we discussed the show\u2019s new sustainable, \u201crepair v. replace\u201d orientation.
