Rather, I offer a contemplative walk to a local setting that seems even more powerful in these strange times.  This episode continues with themes of <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainingplace.com\/index.php\/2021\/01\/17\/place-parts-episode-1-a-sustaining-place-companion\/\">context<\/a> and the embedded history of local places, but I find surprising relevance in the location and purpose of a sacred well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die-hard urbanists may wonder why, in this episode, I visit an <a href=\"https:\/\/insearchofholywellsandhealingsprings.com\/2016\/03\/19\/3333\/\">ancient &#8220;lady well&#8221;<\/a> along an equally historic path between rivers in the Village of Speen.  While this video venue is not covered in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/rowman.com\/ISBN\/9781538133255\/Sustaining-a-City%27s-Culture-and-Character-Principles-and-Best-Practices\">Sustaining a City&#8217;s Culture and Character<\/a><\/em>, the general message certainly is.
