Notably, the <a href=\"https:\/\/crosscut.com\/2015\/04\/as-seattle-changes-remembering-the-ghosts\">built environment<\/a> is not today&#8217;s focus. Instead, with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shannon_Nichol\">Shannon Nichol<\/a>, we discuss the landscape environment&#8217;s &#8220;buried&#8221; memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shannon is a founding partner of Gustafson, Guthrie, and Nichol (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ggnltd.com\">GGN<\/a>) in Seattle. In the video, Shannon and I combine perspectives on such examples. &nbsp;We discuss situations where few visual clues remain to confirm past&nbsp;landscapes. She summarizes her frequent&#8211;and admirable&#8211;project role as forcing friction between former landscapes and what is yet to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This theme is not new to Place Parts.
