Richmond Park is to many the most significant urban natural space in the United Kingdom. Yet, London visitors from overseas (when visits are possible) make it only to nearby Kew Gardens–leaving their London park experiences to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and other “close-in” experiences. As Sir David Attenborough (a 60-year park neighbor) advises, the Richmond Park experience is nothing short of essential.

Especially during the lockdown, the park provided healthy distractions. Then, and during the previous two years, I would often photograph different aspects of the park, including open space, deer, ancient trees, visitors, and water features. Today, I concentrated on grasslands, trees, and paths.

Without further words, here are five examples, all of which emphasize the colors green and yellow, complemented by a heavy sky.
